Ephemeral hotels: a new trend

HOTEL EPHEMERE

The world of ephemera allows you to create an infinite number of spaces and to showcase your image at its best. After the pop-up stores, the ephemeral hotels are the new phenomenon in vogue.

The idea was born at the Glastonbury music festival in 2011, where The Pop-up Hotel set up temporary accommodation. Very quickly, this innovation was exported internationally, reaching several high-end providers.

Competitors such as Belgian Sleeping Around, English Snoozebox, or Danish Pink Cloud will take part in this concept during their events, offering a luxurious service (more than 100€ per night).

In the same year in France, the brands IKEA and Ubi Bene also participated in this fashion effect, which turned out to be a master stroke! Located in one of the largest rest areas in Europe, the brands opened a 560 m² temporary hotel with 28 individual rooms. An effective commercial action to promote the brand's new range of mattresses.

Open 24 hours a day, the hotel welcomed families and offered parents a much-needed break to get back on the road in peace. A playground was also available for up to 32 children simultaneously.

Another example of ephemeral hotels:

The Tasting House Hotel has opened in London. Tate & Lyle Sugars' original design was inspired by the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale for its 8 rooms. To do this, the brand needed : 14 artists, 2,000 hours of cooking, 900 hours of decorating and over 600kg of sugar.

Finally, the "Pod Hotel" located in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. It is also 8 rooms in the shape of a tube that the Breathe Right brand offers. The aim of this operation was to promote nasal strips, which are supposed to improve breathing, as well as to prevent fatigue among Canadians and the impact it has on their productivity.

Make a reservation in one of these places to live an atypical experience!
